Archimedes

I contend that Archimedes is the father of modern science; Newtons laws are the extrapolation of his discovery of consistency in volume-displacement.

Incidentally, Archimedes and Newton were both men of high principle.

I don't believe people that don't fight for their principles can be scientists.
